Nov. 19, 2016

The Saturday NBA schedule will tip-off with a matchup between the Utah Jazz and Houston Rockets from the Toyota Center. Utah has been banged up but has managed to stay a game above .500 overall through their first 13 games. On Thursday, the Jazz did not play well during an 85-77 home loss versus Chicago. Utah shot just 5-for-25 from the three point line and scored 51 points over the final three quarters.
Rudy Gobert was solid in the middle for the Jazz, finishing with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Gordon Hayward shot 3-for-15 from the floor and ended with just eight points on the night.

The Houston Rockets have adapted very well to new head coach Mike D’Antoni’s offensive system. The Rockets are two games above .500 overall and trail division leading San Antonio by two games. On Wednesday, Houston ran away with a 126-109 home victory against Portland. The Rockets were tied at halftime, but outscored the Blazers 38-21 in the third quarter.
All-Star G James Harden led the way with 26 points, 14 assists, and 12 rebounds. Harden became just the second player in NBA history to have 300 points and 150 assists through his first 12 games.
